Bloom Hill began as a family homestead in the 1890s, when the Hollis family cleared the ridge for an apple orchard and built the farmhouse that still stands at the center of the property.
The orchard barn was restored in 2012, and the family opened the estate for weddings the following year.
Three generations later, it's still family-run, and a few of the original apple trees still line the drive.
Views on every side. The ridge looks out over the Blue Ridge Mountains, so almost every corner of the property has a mountain backdrop.
Everything in one place. Ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception all happen on the estate, a short walk apart, so guests never need a shuttle.
Getting-ready suites. A bridal suite in the farmhouse and a lounge beside the barn, both close to the ceremony lawn.
A real rain plan. The covered terrace can host the ceremony or reception, so a wet forecast changes the setting, not the day.
Room to stay. Four on-site cottages sleep close family, with more hotels a 20-minute drive away in Asheville.
Across reviews on Google, The Knot, and WeddingWire, couples most often mention the views and how calm the day felt. Many praise the venue team for being organized and kind, and for handling small surprises before anyone noticed. Guests love having everything on one property, and families who stayed in the cottages say it made the weekend feel like a gathering, not just an event. Many also mention how easy the team made it to bring in their own vendors.
Bloom Hill has four spaces to choose from, and most couples use two or three over the course of the day. The estate hosts up to 150 guests in total.
An open lawn at the edge of the ridge, framed by mountains on three sides. Chairs face west toward the mountains, and late-afternoon ceremonies here feel especially relaxed as the day cools.

Open and framed by mountains. Wide photographs here show the whole ridge and every guest who came to celebrate you.
The place for portraits at sunset. Many couples start their ceremony about 90 minutes before sunset, then slip away here for a few quiet minutes together, with the valley spread out below.
Soft, shaded, and welcoming all day long. Ideal for getting-ready details, and for family portraits before the ceremony so your cocktail hour stays free.
The old apple trees along the drive give a quieter, wooded backdrop. They're lovely for a first look or a few calm minutes together, and in late April they're in full blossom.
“We got to be fully present for every part.”
“We were worried about the timeline, and she solved it before we even asked. She knew Bloom Hill so well that she built our whole evening around it, and we got to be fully present for every part. Our families still talk about how calm the day felt.”
